Crofton Capital is seeking to acquire majority control of stable businesses and operate them for growth over the long term. Good acquisition candidates are family-owned or otherwise closely-held businesses with an owner-operator or passive owner who is looking to transition out of the business and/or realize liquidity. An owner may wish to retain a continuing minority ownership interest in order to participate in the future upside of the business. Participation in management buyouts of divisions from corporate parents or financial investors is also an attractive profile. Phil Ivey founded Crofton Capital after 15 years of experience as a mergers and acquisitions advisor working closely with exceptional management teams running excellent companies. During this time Phil learned a great deal about the different approaches used in building successful businesses, ranging from big picture strategy to day-to-day tactical execution.
